Hello again!

Well all our band students completed their first concert on Thursday 1/17. They did a great job demonstrating the new skills they have been working on. Thank you to all the parents that made sure their student were looking their finest. It was great to see you all there and nice to talk with a few of you at the end of the evening.

6th grade strings parents: Your child has a concert on Feb. 19th at the Wyoming Center. This is a district 6-12 gala concert, so you get a chance to see where your children are headed in the future with their instrument. Please set aside this date. There will be more information coming home soon.

6th grade band parents: Your child has another concert coming up very soon! Their district gala will be Feb. 26th at the Wyoming Center. There will be more information at a later date.

5th grade strings are working on learning new fingerings along with how to play with their bow. This is more difficult than most people think. If you want to try an experiment to see how hard it can be try tapping your left hand fingers on a table while sliding your right hand back and forth. These are the motions that they are trying coordinate.

Thanks for you continued support and as always if you have questions feel free to email me at:
